The Brocade CPX6 Control Processor Blade is the control-plane module for Brocade X6 Directors, running Fabric OS to manage the chassis and coordinate all hardware and firmware activities. In typical configurations, two CPX6 blades provide redundancy for seamless failover, with part numbers XBR-CPX6-0103 (CPX6) and XBR-CPX6-0107 (CPX6+). The CPX6 blade is a half-height, half-slot module that occupies a half-slot position in the X6 Director chassis. These FRU blades are designed for X6-4 and X6-8 Directors, delivering the primary control processor function and Fabric OS management essential to the director’s operation.
