Brooks Instrument MT3809 metal-tube variable-area flow meter is an all-metal inline flowmeter designed for high pressures and extreme temperatures, delivering rugged, direct-reading flow indication in demanding process environments without electronics. The DN25 (25 mm) model features a 1 in connection, a stainless steel 316L float, and a robust metal tube construction able to withstand aggressive process fluids; its nominal maximum capacity at this size is 1200 L/h (about 5.2–5.3 gpm). Part of Brooks' MT3809 family, the meter is designed to ASME B31.3, with gasket sealing surfaces per ASME that do not require special gaskets at installation, simplifying field work in tough facilities. Typical applications include oil and gas production and processing, chemical processing, and other high-temperature/high-pressure liquid systems where a mechanical, inline flow indicator is preferred for reliability and simplicity, including offshore drilling fluid systems and refinery process streams.
