The BS&B Safety Systems FA-7R Rupture Disc Holder is a pre-assembled, 1.5-inch line-rated holder designed to securely cradle B-type or D-type rupture disks within bolted, union, and screw-type safety head assemblies, and it is specified for up to 275 psi in this model configuration. It mounts inside the flange bolt circle for straightforward installation and removal, with an insert-style design that helps reduce assembly costs; flow arrows molded on the safety head indicate the correct direction for reliable operation. The dome of the rupture disk remains fully protected inside the holder, and the FA-7R supports double-disk configurations when enhanced protection is required. Optional inlet or outlet taps accommodate monitoring devices or sensors, and the unit is compatible with flange connections across raised-face, ring-joint, and other standard piping interfaces. Standard materials are 316 stainless steel and carbon steel, with additional options including Monel 400, Inconel 600, Hastelloy C/C-276, aluminum, and titanium to suit aggressive process environments. For added torque protection without changing flow characteristics, BS&B offers the Type TR torque resistant safety head option that uses a wider seating surface to resist overtorquing while preserving the disk path.
