The BS&B Safety Systems Burst Alert Sensor H1-0-1147-409 is a normally closed electrical sensor that provides immediate warning when a rupture disk vents, enabling rapid corrective action to protect people, equipment, and the process. When used with a BS&B Burst Disk Monitor or other suitable electrical monitoring equipment, a vent event interrupts the sensor’s conductive path via a polymer membrane, triggering alarms and helping minimize downtime and product loss. Standard cabling is 1 meter, with a two‑part Clean‑Service cable option available in some regions for easier maintenance; the sensor uses pressboard seals and a polymer membrane, with other seal or membrane materials available on request. For safe operation, BS&B specifies a maximum current of 500 mA and a maximum voltage of 24 VDC, and the Burst Alert Sensor family is designed to be installed downstream of rupture disks to provide instant notification of disk rupture.
