Burndy 1PBS250 Insulated Splice Reducer

Burndy 1PBS250 is a UV-rated black UNITAP inline splice/reducer engineered to join or transition between conductors from 10 AWG up to 250 kcmil in a compact, two-port inline package. The aluminum body uses AL6061-T6 for durability and corrosion resistance in outdoor or harsh environments, while the black insulation is UV-rated to withstand sun exposure. An oxide inhibitor is pre-installed at the contact interfaces to help resist moisture and contaminants that can affect electrical performance over time. This two-port device is designed for inline run/main splices in electrical distribution, enabling a single enclosure to carry a small-gauge lead into a very large conductor within a single assembly. As part of Burndy’s UNITAP family, the 1PBS250 combines splicing and reduction in one component, reducing the need for separate connectors and creating a streamlined installation path for 10 AWG to 250 kcmil applications.
