Burndy ASA800U Hystack Terminal Stacking Adapter

The Burndy HYSTACK ASA800U Terminal Stacking Adapter is a two-slot aluminum stacking accessory designed to let standard NEMA two-hole or four-hole compression terminals be stacked on copper or aluminum terminations. It accepts 8 AWG to 800 kcmil conductors for copper and 1/0 AWG to 800 kcmil for aluminum, with tin-plated hardware and DURIUM™ Silicon Bronze fasteners for corrosion resistance. The compact 3.0 in L x 1.0 in W x 1.13 in H housing (two-screw, two-hole configuration) is rated for 600 V and up to 194°F, and is UL listed and CSA approved. To stack four-hole terminations, two adapters can be installed side-by-side, and Burndy notes that only three sizes cover terminals from 250 kcmil through 1000 kcmil, making ASA800U the middle option in the HYSTACK family. Designed for mixed materials, it’s suitable for use on terminals made from copper or aluminum and is tin-plated to resist corrosion, with the ASA-U designation within Burndy’s HYSTACK lineup commonly paired with other compression terminals on transformers and equipment pads.
