Burndy KSU20 Split-Bolt Square Head Connector

The Burndy KSU20 Split-Bolt Square Head Connector is a tin-plated copper universal splice that accepts conductors from 10 AWG to 4 AWG, suitable for copper-to-copper and copper-to-aluminum terminations in service entrances, panels, and power distribution runs. It uses a square-head split-bolt design with an included spacer to secure two conductors under a single bolt, tightened to 165 in-lb for a reliable termination. As part of Burndy’s SERVIT universal family, the KSU20 supports all combinations of copper, aluminum, ACSR, AAAC, 5005, and steel, enabling mixed-metal splices in industrial, commercial, and utility applications. The assembly is rated up to 35 kV, delivering high-voltage performance while the tin-plated copper body provides corrosion resistance in challenging environments.
