Burndy HYCRIMP YHN525 is an overhead compression line tap (Figure H) that creates a reliable branch from a main conductor to a tap in electrical distribution systems. It supports copper, aluminum, ACSR, and compact conductors and accepts main/run sizes from 4/0 AWG up to 500 kcmil, with the same range applicable to the tap conductor (4/0 AWG to 500 kcmil). As part of the HYCRIMP family, the YHN525 uses a Figure H geometry with Groove A (Run) and Groove B (Tap) to secure conductors. Typical applications include overhead feeders and distribution taps in utility, commercial, and industrial power networks.
