Bussmann FNQ-R-8 Limitron Fuse Class CC Time Delay

The FNQ-R-8 Limitron is an 8 A Class CC time-delay fuse from Bussmann (Eaton), designed for 600 V AC circuits. This dual-element, current-limiting fuse uses ferrule terminals on a melamine cylindrical body measuring 13/32 in (10.3 mm) in diameter by 1-1/2 in (38.1 mm) long, and it is non-indicating with a rejection-type design to fit Class CC fuseholders. It offers a 200 kA interrupting rating at 600 VAC, making it suitable for protection in control circuits and transformer power applications where startup surges occur. The FNQ-R series provides more time-delay than the UL minimum value (12 seconds at 200% overcurrent), enabling brief inrush currents without nuisance blowing. The FNQ-R-8 is the 8-amp, 600-volt version of this Limitron family, intended for reliable protection of relatively small power supplies and control circuitry where a time-delay fuse is appropriate.
