Bussmann FRS-R-175 Fuse
Bussmann FRS-R-175 Fuse
Description:
FRS-R-175 is a 175 A, time-delay dual-element fuse from Eaton Bussmann’s Fusetron FRS-R RK5 family, designed for motor and heavy-load circuits. It is a Class RK5, non-indicating fuse with blade-end terminals and a body size of 1.610 in in diameter by 9.630 in long, compatible with RK5 holders. Rated for 600 VAC and 300 VDC, it delivers 200 kA interrupting at 600 VAC and 20 kA at 300 VDC, making it capable of safely clearing high fault currents typical in industrial environments. The FRS-R-175 is a time-delay, dual-element device (FUSETRON) with a 10-second delay at 500% of rated current, enabling short surges such as motor start-up while still protecting the circuit from sustained overload. This Bussmann series fuse is commonly used in electrical and industrial applications, including motor control panels and power distribution enclosures where reliable overcurrent protection and defined delay characteristics are required.
