The FG-730 Glass Break Detector is a dual-technology sensor that uses acoustic discrimination paired with bend-detection to identify glass-break events, a hallmark of Honeywell’s IntelliSense/FlexGuard line. It supports ceiling- or wall-mounting (including corner-mount) and covers up to 9 m (30 ft) of glass, with a Form C alarm relay (500 mA max, 30 VDC) and a Form A tamper switch (NC, 50 mA, 30 VDC). Powered from 10–14 VDC (25 mA at 12 VDC), it measures 10 cm H x 6.2 cm W x 2 cm D and weighs about 85 g; UL-listed for intrusion applications. Glass compatibility spans plate (2.4–6.4 mm), tempered (3.2–6.4 mm), laminated (3.2–14.3 mm), wired (6.4 mm), coated (3.2–6.4 mm), and sealed insulating (3.2–6.4 mm) glass, with laminated and sealed insulating types requiring both panes to be broken for full protection. The FG-730’s dual-technology approach, combined with its 30 ft range and discrete form factor, makes it suitable for residential or commercial installations with compatible control panels.
