CAREL EVBAT00200 Power Supply Module is a battery-backed emergency power supply and charger for CAREL EVD Evolution electronic expansion valve drivers, guaranteeing continued power to the EVD during mains outages. The module combines a charger and a step-up function and is typically deployed with the EVBAT00200 kit, which includes a 12 V, 1.2 Ah battery and cables to power the EVD driver. It is designed to accept a standard 24 VAC input (protected by an external 2 A fuse) and provides an emergency output around 22 V DC (±5%) to keep the valve driver operational until mains return. When the optional EVBAT00200/300 module is installed, the maximum cabling distance to the EVD unit is limited to 5 meters (Lmax = 5 m). The EVBAT00200 family is used with CAREL’s EVD Evolution expansion valves in HVAC and industrial refrigeration applications, where reliable backup power helps maintain control accuracy and safe shutdown timing during short power interruptions.
