The Carlo Gavazzi G3496 0005 700 Dupline Master Module is a DIN-rail mounted Dupline master interface for Modbus-RTU that functions as a slave to bridge Dupline I/O networks with a Modbus control system. It provides a built-in Dupline channel generator, supports up to 128 I/O points with a 3-wire DC supply and 32 Analink inputs, and includes a RS232/RS422/RS485 interface with multidropping of up to 16 devices on RS485, plus LED indicators for supply, carrier, and COM-port TX and a galvanically isolated COM-port powered by an internal DC/DC converter. It is powered from 20-30 VDC (overvoltage category III), draws less than 150 mA plus load, dissipates under 5 W, and supports Modbus-RTU with function codes 01-06 and 16, operating at 9600 baud with 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity; it also provides 1 kV dielectric voltage between supply and COM-port and 800 V transient protection.
