Carlo Gavazzi CA18CLF08NA Photoelectric Sensor

CA18CLF08NA is Carlo Gavazzi's non-flush-mount capacitive proximity sensor in an M18 plastic housing. It provides non-contact sensing with an adjustable range from 3 to 8 mm and operates on 10–40 VDC. The output is a NPN NO+NC pair, available via a 2 m cable. Built with TRIPLESHIELD for improved EMC immunity, the unit carries ECOLAB compatibility and CE, UL, and CSA approvals. The housing measures M18 x 79.5 mm, is made of thermoplastic polyester, and is rated IP67 for rugged industrial use. A yellow LED indicates operation, and the operating temperature range is -25°C to +80°C. The CA18 family includes variants with different mounting and connection options, including flush-mount and alternative housing materials such as Teflon, polypropylene, and PVC; this CA18CLF08NA configuration is non-flush with a fixed 2 m cable. With a 30 Hz operating frequency, it is suited for automation tasks where reliable capacitive sensing is required in challenging environments.
