The Carlo Gavazzi EI1204NPOSL is a cylindrical M12 stainless-steel inductive proximity sensor with a 4 mm sensing distance and a 2 m cable, designed for non-contact detection of metallic targets in harsh industrial environments. It provides an NPN normally open output, operates from 10–32 V DC, and can switch up to 200 mA with a maximum switching frequency of 500 Hz; the housing is IP67-rated and the operating temperature range is −25°C to +70°C. With its long-body, non-flush-mount design and standard M12 interface, this sensor is well suited for installations on conveyors, packaging lines, and automation cells where rugged metal detection is required.
