Carotron C11451-000 PC Converter Board 115 230 VAC
Description:
The Carotron C11451-000 Precision Frequency-to-Voltage Converter Card turns encoder frequency signals into a 0–12 VDC analog feedback or speed-reference output for motor-control systems. It accepts sine-wave inputs from 1–20 V peak up to 30 kHz or square-wave inputs from 10–12 V peak up to 100 kHz (50% duty cycle; up to 110 kHz if the square wave duty is limited to 25%), with the input signal optically isolated from the output. The unit includes an isolated +12 VDC power supply rated at 100 mA to power encoders or sensors, and the 0–12 VDC output can be used for tach feedback or as a speed reference. It is designed for Carotron non-regenerative and regenerative motor controls and may be compatible with other drives if the feedback is scaled to the nominal 12 V output range. Multi-turn potentiometers adjust OFFSET, GAIN, and BIAS, and there are terminals for an external TRIM pot when used as a speed reference, plus a built‑in TRIM RANGE control to limit external adjustments. The converter accepts encoder inputs up to 1024 pulses per revolution on motors with a maximum speed of about 6000 RPM, delivering a proportional analog signal for closed-loop control. For system integration, the card supports standard acceleration/deceleration control (linear accel/decel, 1–600 seconds) and provides a +10 VDC reference voltage, with auxiliary +/-12 V rails available for additional circuitry. Its physical footprint is 5.5 × 4.25 × 2.87 inches, designed for mounting in Carotron system interconnects.
