Carotron's RCP200 DC Drive Controller Power Module is a regenerative DC motor controller designed for 1/4–5 HP applications, providing precise, adjustable speed and torque control for industrial DC motors. It features an isolated control circuit and an internal current loop for fast, stable response, with IC-regulated power supplies, high-frequency multi-pulse gating, and protective elements such as line fuses and a MOV/snubber for transient protection. The unit offers independent acceleration and deceleration in both forward and reverse directions, plus separate maximum speed settings and current limits (up to 190%), enabling fine-tuned performance across varying loads. A jumper-selectable current range and a speed/torque mode selector let you tailor control behavior, while armature or tachometer feedback is selectable via switch, with tach feedback options of 7 or 50 VDC per 1,000 RPM. Terminal connections are clearly labeled to simplify wiring, and the design emphasizes noise rejection through RC decoupling of signal inputs.
