Castell KS20 CMI CMI Interface Control Module

The Castell KS20 Powersafe Electrical Switch is a key‑driven isolator for machine control circuits that traps the operating key while power is on to prevent access to the hazardous area. The KS20 version is rated for 20 A and ships with four contacts as standard in a 2 normally open/2 normally closed (2NO/2NC) configuration, with options for 4NC or an auxiliary contact set on request. Cast metal construction is available in brass or stainless steel, and the unit can be mounted behind the panel or in front of the panel within its own polycarbonate IP65‑rated enclosure, suitable for normal or corrosive environments. The KS family also includes higher‑load variants KS32 and KS63 for 32 A and 63 A applications. In operation, when power is on the key is trapped in the switch; turning and removing the key switches the power off and allows the key to be taken to open access to the machine area.
