Chalmit Protecta III Emergency Light Base (Baseefa04ATEX0220) is the Ex e base component for Chalmit’s Protecta III family, certified for use in Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous areas. Built with a GRP body and a clear polycarbonate cover, it provides robust mounting with four M20 cable entries (two at each end) and brass suspension points. This base supports 2 × 18 W fluorescent lamps with G13 bi‑pin lampholders, powered from a 220–254 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply, and houses an integral Ni‑Cd battery (6 V, 4 Ah) that enables emergency illumination for up to 90 minutes, with a 3‑hour option available. The emergency gear is contained in a high‑frequency control gear enclosure and the unit carries IP66/67 ingress protection to EN 60529 for reliable performance in harsh environments. The Baseefa04ATEX0220 certification, issued by SGS Fimko Oy, confirms compliance with ATEX requirements for explosive atmospheres.
