CDK-SG-575 Tip Dresser from Changer & Dresser Corp. is a 575 V, 60 Hz tip-dressing unit designed for automated welding-tip preparation in production cells. It draws 1.7 A and delivers up to 1000 W of output, with a continuous-use rating of five minutes and a weight of 17.8 kg. The system enables simultaneous dressing of the upper and lower electrodes, reducing dressing time and ensuring face alignment after dress, while a high-torque, high-speed rotation supports quick cycle times—about one second per dressing. The KTW cutter dresses both electrodes, and for integration in automated lines the unit can be fitted with an optional rotation-confirmation function via proximity sensor and a splash-proof terminal box. The CDK-SG family is designed to fit well with welding guns thanks to its small throat depth of more than 27 mm and complies with CCC and CE safety standards.
