Description:
The Check-Line DCF-900 Coating Thickness Gauge delivers precise ferrous-metal coating measurements from 0 to 40 mils (0–999 µm), making it ideal for quantifying paint, plating, and galvanizing on steel and other ferrous substrates. This monopolar magnetic-induction gauge features a 0.4" (10 mm) diameter probe with a 28" cable and is designed for easy access in hard‑to‑reach areas, while offering continuous reading updates that help detect when a coating is so thin the probe tip sinks into it. The kit includes the gauge, a ferrous zero plate, two calibration shims, and a foam‑fitted carrying case, with options for NIST traceable calibration and a remote probe for additional versatility. Key specs: 0–40 mils (0–999 µm) measuring range, 0.1 mil (1 µm) resolution, accuracy of ±0.1 mil from 0–10 mils and ±1% of reading from 10–40 mils, dimensions 5.7" × 3.1" × 1.5" (145 × 79 × 38 mm), weight 9 oz (250 g), powered by a 9 V alkaline battery with approx. 6 months of normal use and auto shutoff after 90 seconds of non‑use, operating temperatures between 15 and 140°F (-10 to 60°C) for the material and 32–125°F (0–50°C) ambient, and a one‑year warranty.
