Chesterton 150L Single Cartridge Shaft Seal Assembly

Chesterton's 150L Single Cartridge Shaft Seal Assembly is a compact, general-duty cartridge seal designed to replace packing or component-style seals in ANSI/ISO process pumps. The 150L model uses a single-screw clamp lock ring to simplify installation and reduce the risk of installation errors. All metal parts are 316 stainless steel (EN 1.4401), with additional metallurgies available on request. The cartridge is sized to fit standard gland envelopes and shaft sizes, including 2.5-inch shafts, making retrofit straightforward on common pump platforms. The temperature operating range is from -55°C to 300°C (-67°F to 570°F); higher-temperature options can be discussed with Chesterton Engineering. The 150/150L family is documented to meet ISO-3069, ASME B73.1, B73.2, and ACS approvals, reflecting broad industrial acceptance. This combination of robust 316SS construction, a cartridge design, and a clamp-lock mechanism provides a reliable sealing solution for chemical, petrochemical, and general process-service applications.
