Chesterton 180WB is a heavy-duty single-cartridge seal, designed for maximum reliability in demanding pumping, mixing, and processing applications where slurry or aggressive fluids are encountered. This factory-set, pressure-tested cartridge seal enables fast, error-free installation and reduces misassembly risk, a hallmark of Chesterton’s cartridge-seal line. The 180 family covers shaft sizes from 25 mm to 120 mm (1.000" to 4.750"), with the 180WB configuration suitable for standard industrial shaft ranges within that range. Faces are available in CB, TC, or SSC, and elastomers include FKM, EPDM, FEPM, and FFKM, while metal components use EN 1.4401 (316SS) with springs in EN 2.4819 (Alloy C-276). Operating limits include temperatures from -55 to 300 °C (-67 to 570 °F), speeds up to 25 m/s (5000 fpm), and pressures up to 40 bar g (600 psig), with vacuum capability to 711 mm Hg depending on fluid and seal-face combination.
