Chromalox CIR-3023 Cartridge Heater

The Chromalox CIR-3023 cartridge heater is a 1/2" (12.7 mm) diameter insertion heater, 2-3/8" (60.3 mm) long, rated for 120 V and 250 W. It is part of Chromalox's CIR series, designed for high watt-density heating of metal blocks, dies, and molds, with construction that supports rapid heat transfer and robust operation in demanding industrial environments. For this size, the nominal watt density is approximately 85 W/in², and Chromalox notes CIR heaters can operate at temperatures around 1500°F (and higher in some applications), making them suitable for high-temperature process heating. Common applications include heating dies and molds, packing machinery, laminating and adhesives, hot-melt systems, lead melting, medical devices, extrusion dies, and stamping and marking equipment. With the 0.5" diameter and 2.375" length, the CIR-3023 fits CIR-style housings and block geometries commonly used in compact, high-powered heating installations.
