Chromalox CIR-4038 is a high-watt-density insertion cartridge heater from the CIR series, with a 5/8-inch diameter and a 3-3/4-inch long Incoloy 800 sheath that delivers 240 watts at 120 VAC. This 120-volt variant is part of Chromalox’s standard CIR lineup and is also available as CIR-4038/240V for 240-volt operation, maintaining the same wattage but at a higher supply voltage for flexibility in installation. Used where compact, high-heat input is required, CIR series heaters are commonly employed in dies and molds, packaging machinery, laminating and adhesives, hot-melt glue processes, lead melting, medical equipment, extrusion dies, and stamping or marking machines.
