Cidra TB8-13-05-02-02 Flow Monitoring System

CiDRA's SONARtrac HD-series TB8-13-05-02-02 Flow Monitoring System is a clamp-on ultrasonic flow transmitter that uses SONARtrac acoustic technology to calculate accurate volumetric flow in process pipes, including single- and multiphase flows with entrained gas. This TB8‑13‑05‑02‑02 variant is designed for use in hazardous locations, supporting nonincendive field circuits in Class I, Division 2 installations. The AC version accepts 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz with a 25 W power draw (a 18–36 VDC option is also available), and the transmitter enclosure is rated NEMA 4X / IP66. For integration, CiDRA provides digital interfaces including 10Base-T Ethernet and RS-232, with optional MODBUS RTU/ASCII, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, and PROFIBUS PA support. In practice, clamp-on SONARtrac systems are used across industries—oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, water treatment—to monitor flow noninvasively, including slurries and entrained gas.
