Description:
The CIECO K2000 PMP PLS-Plus is a resolver-based programmable safety limit switch and die-protection controller designed as a panel-mount CPU for safety-critical press applications. The base K2000 can function as an 8-output programmable limit switch (PLS) and can be expanded to as many as 32 PLS outputs or 32 die-protection inputs in banks of eight, providing flexible safety logic and cycle coordination across multiple functions. It is powered from 120 VAC (with an optional 24 VDC powered variant) and uses a heavy-duty industrial resolver for position sensing, preserving reference even in rugged environments. Standard features include an hour meter, a timer output, a multi-stroke output, job storage with tool number, total counter, stroke and parts counters, speed check, programmable zero set, motion monitor, a program-security key switch, and two stop circuits (E-Stop and T-Stop), plus a separate speed/position display, I/O status display, two-line dot matrix display, fault-check monitor, and EEPROM memory that requires no batteries. Optional enhancements add ports for up to eight more PLS outputs or eight die-protection inputs, a second timer, tonnage monitoring (1-point, 2-point, or 4-point), remote fault reset input, inch-disable input, additional job storage, die-recognition interface, brake monitor, restricted channels, speed compensation, servo-feed interface, and RS232 connectivity. This rugged, resolver-based controller is well-suited for replacing mechanical limit switches in high-speed stamping and metal-working environments, consolidating limit-switch and die-protection functions into a single, configurable panel-mount solution.
