Cisco NIM-SSD NIM Carrier Card For SSD Drive

Cisco NIM-SSD NIM Carrier Card is a modular network interface module designed to add solid-state storage capability inside Cisco ISR 4000 Series routers. As a carrier card, it accepts Cisco-supported SSD drives and provides storage for applications, data services, logging, caching, and on‑board data processing directly on the router platform. It installs in a Network Interface Module (NIM) slot and integrates with Cisco IOS and supported applications, with management through the router’s software. The compact design allows easy integration into enterprise branch routers without external storage devices. The module supports Cisco-supported SSD drives and is intended for router storage expansion, application hosting environments, network service upgrades, and replacement of existing storage modules in Cisco ISR infrastructure. Common replacements include Cisco SM-X-1TB-SSD Service Module, Cisco UCS-SD-100G-S Solid State Drive, and Cisco SM-X-2TB-SSD Service Module.
