Cisco SM-ES2-16-P Enhanced EtherSwitch Service Module

The Cisco SM-ES2-16-P Enhanced EtherSwitch Service Module adds Layer 2 switching with Power over Ethernet to Cisco Integrated Services Routers, enabling local switching for IP phones, wireless access points, and other Ethernet devices in enterprise branches and campus networks. It provides 16 Ethernet ports in total, including 15 Fast Ethernet PoE-capable ports (10/100 Mbps) and one Gigabit Ethernet uplink (10/100/1000 Mbps). PoE support on the Fast Ethernet ports allows devices to be powered from the router chassis, while the module delivers VLAN, QoS, and standard Ethernet switching services. Designed as an internal service module for Cisco ISR platforms that support service modules, its common replacements include SM-ES3-16-P and SM-ES2-24-P.
