The Cisco 2921-SEC/K9 Integrated Services Router is an enterprise-grade security router in the Cisco 2900 Series that delivers secure WAN connectivity, advanced routing, and integrated security services for branch offices. It supports three Gigabit Ethernet ports and a Gigabit Ethernet SFP slot for flexible uplinks, plus four Enhanced HWIC expansion slots and one Service Module slot to scale voice, security, and WAN connectivity within enterprise networks. DSP slots are supported for PVDM modules, enabling optional voice capabilities as needed, and the rack-mountable chassis fits standard data-center racks. Security features include firewall, VPN with IPsec VPN and SSL VPN, and intrusion prevention support to protect site-to-site and remote access connections. Management is via CLI, SNMP, and Cisco Configuration Professional, and the device uses an internal AC power supply for reliable operation.
