Cisco Systems WS-C3850-12X48U-L Network Switch

The Cisco WS-C3850-12X48U-L is a 48-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with PoE+ designed for managed Layer 3 switching in enterprise networks. It delivers 48 × 10/100/1000 Ethernet PoE+ ports (IEEE 802.3af/at) and includes the C3850-NM-2-10G uplink module with two 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports for high-speed aggregation, supported by dual redundant hot-swappable power supplies for redundancy. With LAN Base software, a switching capacity of up to 176 Gbps and a forwarding rate of up to 130.9 Mpps, it can power and manage devices such as wireless access points, IP phones, and IP surveillance cameras across campus or wiring-closet deployments, while offering up to 800 W PoE budget depending on PSU configuration. The switch supports Cisco StackWise-480 for scalable stacking up to 480 Gbps and provides security features like ACLs, port security, and 802.1X authentication, in a 1U rack-mountable chassis rated for 0–45°C operation and featuring dual-redundant power and internal hot-swappable cooling fans.
