The Cisco WS-C3750G-12S-S Catalyst Switch is a managed Layer 3 Ethernet switch in the Cisco Catalyst 3750G Series, designed to deliver fiber-based Gigabit connectivity in enterprise networks. It provides 12 Gigabit Ethernet SFP fiber ports for high-density fiber links between access switches, distribution layers, and backbone infrastructure, making it suitable for campus, corporate offices, and data centers that require VLAN segmentation and inter-VLAN routing. With a switching capacity of up to 32 Gbps and a forwarding rate of up to 38.7 Mpps, it handles moderate to heavy traffic in stacked deployments. It supports IP Base software features, static routing, and inter-VLAN routing, enabling efficient network segmentation and routing without requiring additional devices. Cisco StackWise stacking technology allows you to cluster multiple units for simplified management and increased port density. VLANs are supported via IEEE 802.1Q tagging, and security features include port security, ACLs, and network authentication to help protect access to the network. Management is via CLI and SNMP, with compatibility with Cisco network management tools for centralized monitoring and configuration. The switch is powered by an internal AC power supply and comes in a rack-mountable chassis suitable for enterprise racks.
