Cisco WS-C3850-24P-S is a fixed, stackable Catalyst 3850 switch that provides 24 PoE+ Ethernet ports and built‑in Layer 3 routing in a compact 1U chassis. It runs the IP Base feature set, delivering enterprise‑class routing and switching capabilities and is designed to power and connect IP phones, wireless access points, cameras, and other PoE devices across access‑layer networks. The switch includes a 715W AC power supply and supports PoE+ power budgeting across all 24 ports, enabling centralized power for network endpoints without external adapters. For higher uplink capacity, this model can be configured with the C3850-NM-2-10G network module, which provides four module ports: two native 1G SFP ports and two slots that accept either 1G or 10G SFP modules, enabling up to two 10G uplinks when installed. The WS-C3850-24P-S is designed to be stackable with other Catalyst 3850 switches to simplify growth and management in campus deployments, while maintaining a 1U form factor and integrated power options.
