Cisco Catalyst WS-C4948E-L3 is a 48-port, Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch that delivers high-density 10/100/1000 connectivity along with 4×10 GbE SFP+ uplinks for scalable enterprise networks. With up to 320 Gbps of switching capacity and a forwarding rate of up to 250 Mpps, it supports data center aggregation, campus core, and backbone deployments where large traffic volumes must be processed efficiently. It provides both Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing, with support for OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and RIP to enable reliable inter-VLAN routing and dynamic routing across core or distribution layers.
