The Dell S6100-ON Data Center Ethernet Switch delivers high-density 40GbE connectivity in a rack-mountable chassis, featuring 64 × 40GbE QSFP+ ports for spine-leaf fabrics and high-performance backbones. Designed for data centers, cloud infrastructure, and HPC environments, it connects servers, storage systems, and aggregation switches with ultra-low latency and multi-terabit throughput (platform dependent), running Dell OS10 or ONIE for flexible network software. Power and cooling redundancy are built in with dual 1100W AC power supplies (D1100E-S2) and redundant hot-swappable fans, while management is exposed via CLI, SNMP, and REST APIs to integrate with standard network management platforms.
