The Des-Case DC-4 Standard Desiccant Breather safeguards hydraulic and lubrication systems by letting ambient air pass through a silica gel desiccant chamber before entering the reservoir. With a 1-inch connection, it threads onto most reservoirs and vessels, and inside sits about 2.0 lb of blue silica gel delivering 3-micron absolute filtration to block particulates while actively adsorbing moisture. The unit supports a maximum airflow of up to 600 L/min at 70 mb, providing rapid venting with minimal backpressure, and can adsorb around 12 oz of water over its service life. Its compact footprint measures roughly 10.125 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter, making it suitable for installation on hydraulic reservoirs, gearboxes, and other enclosed equipment. As part of Des-Case’s Standard Series, the DC-4 is designed to protect lubricants from moisture ingress and particulate contamination, helping extend oil life and maintain lubricant performance in demanding industrial environments.
