Des-Case DC-HG-8 HydroGuard Desiccant Breather

The Des-Case DC-HG-8 HydroGuard Desiccant Breather is a disposable desiccant breather that uses an expansion chamber and internal check valves to create a nearly sealed intake for hydraulic reservoirs and other equipment in steady-state, low-flow operation. It combines silica gel desiccant with a 3-micron absolute filtration stage to remove moisture and particulates from incoming air, providing roughly 14 CFM of airflow and an adsorption capacity of 4.05 fl oz (120 mL). The unit features a 1" Multi-Fit connection (NPT, BSPP, BSPT) and measures about 9.75 inches tall with a 4.1 inch diameter, designed for mid-size tanks and reservoirs, and is REACH compliant. HydroGuard breathers are designed to protect lubricants and components from moisture-related degradation in humid environments by limiting ingress through the breather port while allowing venting as pressure equalizes.
