Emerson EDS272

Emerson Appleton EDS272 is a 2-gang dead-end backbox for Contender Series explosion-proof control stations, cast in malleable iron and finished with epoxy powder coat for durability in demanding environments. It supports NEC Class I, Division 1 and 2 (Groups C and D) hazardous locations and accepts two devices in a compact enclosure, with a 3/4 inch conduit hub. The enclosure includes an internal ground screw and is factory sealed to help maintain enclosure integrity; standard backboxes in iron are rated for NEMA 4, while an aluminum backbox option (suffix -A) yields a NEMA 4X rating. It carries UL 508/943/1203 listings (File Nos E10449/E81751). For feed-through configurations, Emerson also offers the EDSC272 variant, while the 2-gang dead-end model is EDS272.
