Facts Engineering F2-4AD2DA Analog Input Output Module
Description:
F2-4AD2DA is a FACTS Engineering/AutomationDirect DirectLogic DL205 analog input/output module that provides four 4–20 mA input channels and two 4–20 mA current-sinking output channels, designed to operate from an 18–26.4 VDC supply and drawing about 80 mA. The analog circuits are optically isolated from the PLC logic, and a removable terminal block lets you swap the module without disconnecting wiring. With 12-bit resolution (1 in 4096) and a 250 Ω input impedance (±0.1%), each input supports a wide 4–20 mA range and a maximum continuous overload of -40 to +40 mA per channel. On‑board active analog filtering and a DSP-oriented microcontroller deliver stable measurements in noisy environments, while the unit’s low-power CMOS design keeps overall consumption low. All channels can be updated in a single scan when paired with compatible DL205 CPUs (e.g., DL240/250-1, DL260, or DL262). A 0.032 A external fuse (Series 217 fast-acting) is recommended for the current inputs, and the module’s physical footprint is 4.0 in (L) × 1.0 in (W) × 3.0 in (H) (about 10.2 cm × 2.5 cm × 7.6 cm), weighing roughly 0.1 kg. Designed specifically for DL205 installations, the F2-4AD2DA combines four input channels with two current outputs in a single, compact analog I/O module.
