Festo SME8KLED230 Proximity Sensor Switch

The Festo SME8KLED230 Proximity Sensor Switch detects piston position in pneumatic cylinders with magnetic reed sensing, delivering end-of-stroke feedback in industrial automation systems. Designed to operate with 3 to 230 VAC/DC supplies, it provides normally open, bipolar switching through a 2-wire PUR cable that is 2.5 m long and clamps into T-slot cylinders for lengthwise insertion. The device carries up to 120 mA and up to 10 VA AC / 10 W DC, with switching up to 500 Hz and fast response times (on 2 ms, off 0.03 ms), and it offers reproducibility of ±0.1 mm. Its IP67 enclosure protects against dust and water exposure, and it tolerates -30°C to +60°C. The housing combines epoxy resin, PET, and stainless steel components, and a yellow LED status indicator provides visual feedback. It complies with EN 60947-5-2, CE, and RoHS standards.
