The Gigamon GigaPORT-Q08 8x40Gb QSFP Port Blade is a high-density expansion module for Gigamon GigaVUE-HD4 and GigaVUE-HD8 chassis, enabling traffic aggregation, filtering, replication, and distribution across monitoring and security tools. Equipped with eight QSFP+ ports, it delivers 40 Gb Ethernet per port for a total aggregate throughput of 320 Gbps full duplex, supporting scalable visibility in enterprise data centers and service provider environments. It is a hot-swappable line card that plugs into a chassis slot and is managed through GigaVUE OS and the control card resources, with chassis-managed cooling. Common deployments include network monitoring, intrusion detection systems, packet capture solutions, performance analysis, and security analytics where high-bandwidth traffic must be distributed to multiple tools simultaneously.
