The HP ProCurve J9079A 1700-8 is a fanless, web-managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch with seven 10/100Base-TX ports and a 10/100/1000Base-T uplink, engineered for silent operation in small offices, industrial automation, and commercial networks. With 3.4 Gbps switching capacity and 8,000 MAC address entries, it supports IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, IEEE 802.1p QoS, IEEE 802.3ad LACP, LLDP, Flow Control, and auto-MDIX on all RJ-45 ports. Management is through a web browser, and it can be mounted on a desktop or in a rack, making it suitable for PCs, PLCs, IP cameras, printers, servers, and other industrial Ethernet devices.
