The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Q1J28A / Q1J28B MSA 2050 storage system is a dual‑controller, 2U rack‑mounted storage array that delivers high‑performance, scalable, and reliable shared storage for critical applications in enterprise data centers. It uses 12Gb SAS drives in 12 LFF bays (3.5") with four 12Gb SAS ports per controller and supports expansion enclosures for growth, with RAID levels across the array to suit various workloads. Redundancy is built in with dual active/active controllers, redundant power supplies, and cooling, while host connectivity can be configured for SAS, FC, or iSCSI. Management is provided via Web‑based and CLI tools, and the MSA 2050 is commonly deployed for virtualization, database storage, backups and recovery, and large file storage where continuous operation and data integrity are critical.
