HMS Industrial Networks HMS-EN2SE-R Ethernet IP to Serial Module

HMS-EN2SE-R is an Anybus EtherNet/IP Linking Device that bridges serial equipment to EtherNet/IP networks, enabling RS-232/422/485 devices to communicate with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix or CompactLogix controllers over Ethernet. Two RJ-45 Ethernet/IP ports support network connectivity and can be used for redundant paths or segmented topology, with Device Level Ring (DLR) support for resilience. The module converts serial protocols to EtherNet/IP, offering compatibility with RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, DF1, and Modbus RTU Master for easy integration of common serial devices. On the serial side, a DB-9 female connector provides the interface, and the IP path supports up to 509 bytes of input data and 505 bytes of output data at 10/100 Mbps. Power is supplied from a 24 V DC source, and the unit operates from 0 to 55 C.
