Industrial 308L-MVR-5/32-WELD-ROD-A Welding Rods

Avesta 308L/MVR welding rods are rutile-coated, covered SMAW electrodes designed for all-position welding of austenitic stainless steels, specifically 1.4301/1.4307 (304/304L). Manufactured by Avesta (now part of voestalpine Böhler Welding), these E308L-17 fillers deliver dependable fusion and corrosion resistance when joining Cr-Ni stainless steels in a range of fabrication tasks. The rods measure 5/32 in (4.0 mm) in diameter and 350 mm long, and are suitable for AC or DC welding. They are intended for all-position welding of 304L-type stainless steels, with the 308L/MVR designation described in Avesta welding manuals as rutile-coated electrodes for stainless steel joints. The rutile coating aids slag removal and bead formation, helping produce smooth, consistent welds in various positions and thicknesses.
