The Industrial 6638818A1 Analog Input Slave Module (IMASI03) is Bailey Controls’ universal 16‑channel analog input interface for the INFI 90 system, designed to condition, convert, and transmit process signals to the Multi‑Function Processor via the MFP bus. It occupies a single slot in the INFI 90 Module Mounting Unit and uses three edge connectors (P1 for power, P2 for the slave expander bus, P3 for field inputs); a DIP switch on the module sets the slave address and selects on‑board tests. Each channel can be configured independently for thermocouples (E, J, K, L, N, including Chinese E and Chinese S types), millivolts (-100 to +100 mV), RTDs (3‑wire; 10, 100 Ω, 100 Ω European, 120 Ω, 53 Ω Chinese), high‑level voltage (-10 to +10 V), or 4–20 mA, with the analog‑to‑digital converter resolution programmable from 16 to 24 bits. The IMASI03 provides per‑channel isolation and open‑input detection, stores factory calibration data for offset, gain and nonlinearity with automatic recalibration in normal operation, and performs engineering‑unit conversions for thermocouple and RTD inputs; cold‑junction compensation is built‑in with a choice of remote CJ reference, and lead‑resistance compensation is applied to thermocouple/RTD inputs for improved accuracy.
