Industrial 6BP04-2 Backplane System Control Module

Industrial 6BP04-2 Backplane System Control Module is a four-channel backplane in Analog Devices’ 6B Series that interconnects 6B input modules (such as 6B11) to create a modular, distributed data acquisition and control network. It provides 1500 V rms CMV isolation between channels and between input and output, and includes a cold-junction compensation (CJC) sensor for thermocouple-based measurements. The 6BP04-2 uses RS-232C to communicate with a host PC and RS-485 to daisy-chain to the next backplane, enabling multi-backplane configurations with 6B11/6B12/6B13/6B21 modules. Although part of the 6BP04 family, Analog Devices lists this backplane as obsolete and distributor catalogs show 6BP04-2 as discontinued by the manufacturer.
