Description:

The DigiTrace AMC-1H-TSTAT Ambient-Sensing Thermostat is an explosion‑proof, ambient‑temperature control designed to regulate heat‑tracing circuits for freeze protection in hazardous locations. It features a NEMA 4/7/9 lacquered cast‑aluminum housing with one 3/4" NPT conduit hub and screw terminals for 10–14 AWG wiring, and its SPDT switch is rated up to 22 A at 125/250/480 Vac for direct control of a heater or a contactor coil. The ambient‑sensing mechanism uses a fluid‑filled silicone bulb with a 9 ft capillary and a 300‑series stainless steel sensor element, delivering a setpoint range of 15°F to 140°F (−9°C to 60°C), an accuracy of ±6°F (±3.3°C), and a setpoint repeatability of ±3°F (±1.7°C) with a deadband of 2–12°F above actuation. Sensor exposure limits are −40°F to 160°F (−40°C to 71°C), and enclosure exposure limits are −40°F to 140°F (−40°C to 60°C). Approvals cover Hazardous Locations: Class I, Div. 1 and 2 (Groups B, C, D); Class II, Div. 1 and 2 (Groups E, F, G); and Class III, making it suitable for use in explosive atmospheres while controlling heat tracing in demanding environments.
