Industrial AS-B827-032 Digital Input Module 24 VDC

The AS-B827-032 is Schneider Electric's Modicon 800-series high-density digital input module that provides 32 x 24 VDC discrete inputs in a single module and mounts on a DIN rail in Modicon PLC systems. This true-high input module accepts nominal 24 VDC signals (20–28 VDC operating range), with a maximum continuous input voltage of 30 VDC and a surge rating of 40 VDC for 10 ms. Each 32-input group features a wetting current around 6 mA at 24 V, requires an external 24 VDC supply (typically 70 mA), and occupies one slot in the chassis. Designed for fast response, OFF-to-ON and ON-to-OFF transition times can be as quick as 1 ms, making it suitable for fast-machine control, process monitoring, and data acquisition within Modicon 800-series automation architectures. Common applications include machine start/stop signaling, status monitoring, and collecting field signals for process automation within 800-series control systems.
