Industrial AS-B855-016 Digital Input Module

AS-B855-016 Intrinsically Safe 12 Vdc Input Module, Modicon 800 Series, provides 16 isolated digital inputs in a single-slot backplane module. It accepts 16 switch closures or low-impedance inputs (<100 Ω) and operates from a 12 Vdc supply in the 11.4–12.6 Vdc range, delivering true low logic to the PLC. This intrinsically safe (fully isolated) input module is FM 3610 certified for hazardous locations and requires a barrier strip (MD-8741-000) and key pins for installation; the barrier strip is included with the module. It occupies one backplane slot in 800 Series I/O racks and exposes 16 LED indicators, one per input, for straightforward status monitoring. Weighing about 1.05 kg (2.31 lb), the AS-B855-016 is designed for continuous or intermittent operation in environments where intrinsic safety is required, such as monitoring safety switches or other field devices in hazardous zones.
